 | | Jody David Armour is the Roy P. Crocker Professor of Law at the University of Southern California. He earned his A.B. degree in Sociology and Philosophy at Harvard University and his J.D. degree with honors from Boalt Hall Law School at the University of California, Berkeley. His book Negrophobia and Reasonable Racism: The Hidden Costs of Being Black in America, (New York University Press, 1997), received the Gustavus Myers Outstanding Book Award. He is currently working on a book entitled Hearts and Minds in Blame and Punishment.
At the request of the US Department of State and European Empassies, Professor Armour toured major universities in Europe to speak about social justice as well as Hip Hop culture and the law, culminating in a unique interdisciplinary and multimedia analysis of social justice and linguistics, titled Race, Rap and Redemption. |

 | | Phil Brock has a degree in History and Kinesiology from UCLA and a Masters in Education from LMU. Before working in the entertainment industry, he was CEO of a chain of retail design and jewelry stores throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Brock is currently President of the Studio Talent Group an agency representing actors and screenwriters. An actor himself, Mr. Brock's career has featured diverse roles in television and film. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Mr. Brock became a coach and teacher in several inner-city LA high schools and participates in many local charity events. A Santa Monica native, Phil supports his city as a Commissioner of Parks and Recreation. Having worked closely with actors and young students for many years, Phil appreciates the tremendous work of Assemblies in Motion. |

 | | Eleanor Earl is an Assistant Professor of English and Cinema Studies at Hampton University in Virginia. She holds a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from The University of Virginia, an M.A. in Humanities from Old Dominion University, with graduate credits in English Literature from The Institute for Scholars in International Studies held at Oxford University in Oxford, England and an M.F.A. in Theatre Writing from New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts. Currently, she is pursuing a D.B.A. in Management from Argosy University.
Ms. Earl is a prolific artist and performer. Her work has been featured at such venues as Her Majesty's Theatre and Covent Garden's Africa Centre in London, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Off-Off Broadway, and Twentieth Century Fox Studios. |

 | | Paul Eckstein graduated Brown University with degrees in International Relations and Creative Writing. As an actor he has appeared in Shakespeare in the Park, Lincoln Center and the Guthrie Theater.
As a writer and producer Paul's credits include "Street Time", the critically acclaimed Showtime drama and the feature film "Hoodlum" starring Laurence Fishburne and Andy Garcia, from MGM/UA. He just finished directing "Faces Of HIV" for Duke Media & Fox Searchlight, a documentary on the HIV pandemic in the African American community. Paul is also the proud new father of a baby boy. |

![Jamon R Hicks]() | | Jamon R. Hicks is an associate in private practice at the Law Offices of Carl E. Douglas in Beverly Hills. Mr. Hicks practices in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense, representing plaintiffs in state and federal courts in a diverse civil litigation practice.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Hicks is a member of the adjunct faculty at Loyola Law School as a Head Coach for the nationally recognized Byrne Trial Advocacy Team. He was a member of the Western Regional Champion Byrne team for the Texas Young Lawyers Tournament in 2003-2004. That same year, he was a National Finalist in the Tournament of Champions, and Western Regional Champion for the Texas Young Lawyers Tournament. He was also the recipient of the Karl Seuthe award upon graduation for excellence in trial advocacy.
Currently, Mr. Hicks serves on various educational and community boards. He is the Vice President of the Langston Bar Association, as well as a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), National Bar Association (NBA) and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Hicks also serves on the board of the Yes-U-Can Non-Profit Foundation.
While at Loyola, Mr. Hicks served as a judicial extern for the Honorable R. Gary Klausner, U.S. District Court for the Central District, where he gained substantial experience in federal court practices and procedures. (2003) Additionally, he served on the national board as Western Regional Director for the National Black Law Students Association (2003-2004).
Mr. Hicks graduated with a JD from Loyola Law School in 2004. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hicks graduated with honors with B.A. degrees in English and African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001. |

 | | Quincy D. Jones, III has collaborated with numerous world-renowned artists including, Tupac, Prince and Dr. Dre. His work has resulted in many gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums and singles. His film and television credits include scoring the influential film Menace II Society and Eddie Murphy's weekly animated comedy series for which he received an Emmy nomination. In 1993 ASCAP honored Quincy with their Composers Award for his work on Fresh Prince of Bel Air, starring Will Smith.
In 2002, Quincy started his own production company, QD3 Entertainment, focused on chronicling the many dimensions of Hip Hop culture. He has amassed one of the largest independent libraries of Hip Hop content. QD3 Entertainment is expanding online and building the first urban-oriented digital media entertainment company. |

 | | Jaclyn Jonet is an actress and social activist. Her first feature film role was the lead in Searchers 2.0, which just premiered at the Venice Film Festival, directed by Alex Cox (Repo Man). Jaclyn attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City starting at the age of fourteen.
Ms. Jonet has done fundraising for Doctors Without Borders and is currently working on a theatre piece about the homeless called "Lend Your Hands", to be performed this Spring at the Culture Project in NYC. Jaclyn worked in a homeless shelter in NYC through Columbia and spent evenings in the shelter taking care of women. |

 | | Leila Steinberg grew up in Los Angeles and feels a direct connection to the lives of the people she serves having attended schools and lived in neighborhoods overrun with poverty and violence. With more than 20 years of work in the arts and as an educator, she has developed a series of specialized programs aimed at youth within the juvenile justice system and in residential treatment facilities. She has taught her programs in juvenile halls and jails, has led assemblies in Los Angeles and Chicago public schools. Ms. Steinberg has also taken her workshops to Sheffield, England and South Africa. |
